Let’s get something clear from the start. What we’re going to discuss about feminine energy isn’t the cutesy, Pinterest-ready, moon rock, flower crown nonsense that looks nice on the outside and gives you the illusion that you or someone you know possesses feminine energy.
This isn’t about floating around in a white linen dress or doing moon rituals in Bali.
When I talk about feminine energy, I’m not talking about a vibe or an aesthetic, I’m talking about your core.
I’m talking about what it means to live from your feminine core. How you move, respond, attract, lead, feel, and express.
It’s the energy beneath all the roles you play.
And once you understand it, you’ll understand your relationships, your confidence, your creativity and your presence. You’ll understand why so many women feel disconnected from their femininity, burnt out and confused when they’ve been spending years trying to embody a version of ‘femininity’ that doesn’t feel authentic.
Before we go deeper, here's a quick note: For simplicity's sake, I’ll speak as though women carry the feminine energy and men the masculine energy. But gender and energy aren’t always the same thing.
There are women who lead with masculine energy and feel great doing so.
There are men who carry strong feminine energy and are deeply in their power.
What matters is understanding your natural baseline and leading from a place that is most beneficial to you.
That said, most women feel more fulfilled and magnetic when they’re leading with their feminine energy, and most men feel most grounded when they’re rooted in their masculine. That’s not political. It’s primal.
Let's start with the basics. You can wear pink, have the prettiest French manicure, strut in your Valentino rock-stud heels, and still be in your masculine energy.
You can wear a gymshrk tracksuit, have no makeup on and snowboard in your free time and be deep in your feminine energy.
Because feminine energy isn’t about the look, the aesthetic or the voice. It’s about how you feel in your body and how you move throughout the world.
It’s the difference between performing and being.
Feminine energy is when you walk into a room and you’re not doing the most, but you’re felt.
It’s emotional awareness.
Sensuality. Intuition. Receptivity.
It’s intuitive, fluid, emotionally attuned and responsive to emotion. It’s about sensing instead of analysing, feeling instead of fixing and receiving instead of chasing. It’s that unspoken magnetism that doesn’t need to prove itself.
When you're in your feminine energy as a woman, life doesn’t necessarily become easy, but it feels less like a fight. You're not trying to control the outcome of every little thing.
You’re not chasing, but what you want is gravitating towards you. You’re not over-explaining yet people seem to ‘feel’ what you mean and who you are. You’re not asking for permission, yet it feels like there are fewer boundaries towards what you can do in this life.
You’re listening to your body. You’re trusting your intuition.
You feel more sensual. More fluid.
More like… you.
You still get things done and still hit your goals, but you’re not burning yourself out when you do it.
You multitask like a magician. You become the kind of woman who can sense the energy in the room has changed before anyone says a word. You notice things no one else sees.
And you’re not afraid to feel. Even when it’s messy. Even when it makes no logical sense.
And you hold space for emotions (your own and others), and you don’t need to feel needed, but you damn sure need to feel understood.
The world has taught us to value masculine traits: discipline, structure, hustle, logic.
And those things are useful — we need both energies.
But when a woman leads from her masculine energy 24/7, she starts to feel… off.
Disconnected. Burnt out. Numb.
She’s doing all the right things, but something feels wrong.
Because she’s not in her core. She’s in survival.
And when she reconnects to her feminine energy, she doesn’t just feel better — she becomes magnetic again. Creative again. Alive again.
If you’ve ever been told that being in your feminine energy means being a doormat, appealing to the patriarchy or disappointing the suffragettes, then you’ve been lied to. Yes, feminine energy is emotional, yes it will go with the flow, and yes, it aligns with traditional values in some sense, but it’s about time that people realise that real feminine energy is powerful in a way that’s just… different.
It’s not loud. It’s not rigid. It’s not about dominating the room.
But it’s not about waiting for someone else to take the lead, either.
Receptivity is its own form of discernment. Ot’s about letting in what serves you and letting go of what doesn’t.
There is nothing weak about being the woman who can feel deeply and still show up with grace. A woman like this knows how to soften without shrinking.
She can read the energy before anyone speaks.
She leads with emotional intelligence, not ego.
She can lead with both her head and her heart.
Feminine energy can be powerful and radiant… but it can also become wounded.
And when that happens? It’s not pretty.
Wounded feminine energy shows up as:
This isn’t softness, it’s survival, fear and helplessness in a silk robe.
It’s chaos pretending to be creativity.
And it’s just as damaging as the traits people call “toxic masculinity.”
FYI, just to be clear, this doesn’t make you “bad” or broken. It makes you human. But the more aware you are, the more choices you have. You can choose to live from a healed feminine space… or let your wounds keep running the show.
Here’s the real difference:
Wounded feminine: “Pay attention to me, or I’ll fall apart.”
Divine feminine: “I am validated in my own power,, even when no one is praising me.”
Wounded feminine: “You should just know what I need.”
Divine feminine: “I can express what I need and allow myself to receive.”
Wounded feminine: “Make me feel safe.”
Divine feminine: “I create safety within myself — and I only accept what adds to that.”
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about being conscious of when your softness is real… and when it’s just armour.
Most women aren’t disconnected from their feminine energy because they don’t want to be in it. They’re disconnected because the world has taught them it’s not safe, smart or productive.
Think about it, you were probably praised for being ‘independent’, ‘disciplined’ and ‘strong’. While those things are beautiful, your softness or feminine energy doesn’t have to come at the cost of them. Especially if your body is screaming for rest and your calendar is booked with things that drain you.
You don’t have to work harder to “be that girl”
You just have to stop burying her.
Most women start in their feminine energy — playful, expressive, emotional, magnetic.
But over time, the world teaches them it’s not safe to be that way.
So they start leading with logic. Hustling. Numbing. Performing.
When you spend too long living outside your feminine energy, you start to feel numb, resentful, and exhausted.
And yes, it may get you results.
But it doesn’t feel good. Eventually, you will crash and burn, if not physically, then emotionally.
And deep down… You know it.
You weren’t made to push forever. No amount of success can soften becoming a hard woman.
It’s not about what you’ve built but how you’ve built it. With power. With presence. With pleasure.
This doesn’t need to be deep. It just needs to be honest.
Here’s how to start coming back to yourself:
And most importantly?
Start treating yourself like the woman you want the world to see. You don’t have to burn everything down just to reconnect to your femininity. You just have to stop abandoning yourself to be palatable.
Feminine energy isn’t something you ‘unlock’ after a cleanse or through some pretty clothes. It’s already in your.
Your most divinely feminine self is just waiting for you to stop performing and start listening.
To stop proving and start feeling.
To stop chasing and start receiving.
Your feminine energy is still there.
Always has been. Always will be.
Let her lead.
